Katie Ombalski - Woods and Waters

Katie Ombalski is a contractor to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and is the principal of Woods and Waters Consulting, LLC. of Boalsburg, PA. Katie will share NFWF’s newest conservation initiative, the Central Appalachia Habitat Stewardship Program that launched in August 2017 and is making significant investments in western Pennsylvania to conserve forests and freshwater habitats and the species that depend on these systems.

Katie is a Conservation Biologist and is dedicated to conserving Pennsylvania’s forest and water resources that provide ecological and social benefits for future generations. She has over 23 years of experience working in the field of conservation specializing in land conservation and habitat restoration. Katie has degrees from Penn State University and Frostburg State University, where she earned her Master’s degree working on the Pennsylvania Fisher Reintroduction Project.
